There are certain hair problems take arise in winter

Dandruff
Dandruff increases in winters.
Wash your hair and scalp with anti-dandruff like ZPTO or ketoconazole based shampoo.
Let the shampoos remain on scalp for at least 5 minutes and then rinse off thoroughly.
Avoid use of oil over the scalp.
Avoid hot blow dryers over the scalp.

Dry or lusterless hair in winters

One can follow some basic tips to take care of luster less hair in winters:-

Always cover your hair. In winters the most exposed part is our hair. The winter wind takes away the
moisture from the scalp. So one should cover them with a scarf or wear a hat while going out.
Do not take hot water bathes. It can make your hair dry and dull or life less.
Shampoo your scalp and keep the shampoo on the scalp for 5 minutes and also use conditioner over the hair shafts.
Avoid blow dryers and massage your scalp with oil to keep them healthy and shiny.

Always stay hydrated in winters also. Drink a lot of water. Some of the basic things one should keep in mind to have healthier hair are:-

Shampoo should be ph balanced and mild. Keep the shampoo on your scalp for 5 to 7 minutes and then wash it. One can also use light conditioner over the hair shaft. Make sure that you don’t use too greasy shampoos, oil or heavy serums over the hair

One should apply shampoo which has a UV protection and it should be mild and ph balanced. Nowadays conditioners are also available with UV protection. Avoid the sun as it’s very harsh and can make your hair lifeless and brittle so protection is must.

Take lots of fresh fruits, green vegetables, and antioxidant rich diet. Protein intake should be more. If you are vegetarian than take 1litre milk in any form. If you are non vegetarian than one can eat eggs, fish or chickens.
